Tee Pee and 1, 2, 3

Well, our outside dinner with our neighbors was wonderful. Great food and great fellowship. The brownie sundae made me feel at home. It is, after all, probably my all time favorite treat! I failed, however, to take any photos. I did remember that I have not shared the tee pee photos with you, so here you go.
putting on the final touches

the gang all enjoying the handiwork!
The tent or tee pee, by the way, is no longer standing. Between the wind and the other 10 or so kids that live in our apartment complex, it has been destroyed.
The mommy of the neighbor family is scheduled to have her baby on Friday morning. Please pray for a safe arrival of Baby.

HG kept saying "cheese," wanting me to take her picture. No, it's not super clear but you can definitely tell that's what she is saying. So, I took it. We've been practicing on counting. We count all of the time--arms and legs in clothes, socks and shoes on feet, fence posts as we walk along the sidewalk. Today, HG was watching a Brainy Baby video that had counting. She really enjoys watching it, but has never really interacted much with it. Today, I heard "One, two, three" coming from her little mouth. Again, not it's not super clear, but I can definitely tell she was counting to three. Yeah for some more learning! Her other funny thing is to say "Hi, Nie Nie" to me all of the time. Yes, I'm Nie Nie. If you ask her to say Mommy, she will say "Monny" but when talking, I'm usually just Nie Nie (pronounced knee knee). The part of it that's funny is that she will change her voice and say it over and over. She'll have a low voice, a high squeeky voice, you get the picture.
Oh, I got my haircut today. This is the first time since my college days that someone other than Jeni, my normal "beauty operator," has cut my hair. Probably in almost 18 years. Ami did a nice job especially considering that she doesn't speak english and I don't speak much spanish. After cutting the back, she did give me a mirror and ask me if that was short enough. Just fine. Then, she turned the chair away from the mirror while she cut the front/sides and I never saw my hair again until I got home. No complaints, honestly. HV got her bangs cut. She was trying to grow them out, but said she was just tired of pulling them back and wanted them cut. Ami did a nice job with that too. How can you go wrong for Q60 when HV got her bangs cut and dried with a "rolly" brush and I got my hair washed, conditioned and cut? She dried my bangs too. What a bargain!
