Loving Baby

Giving lovies to Baby

Bottle feeding Baby

HV and HM took the above pics for me and while the lighting is very poor (window open and sunlight coming in but no artificial light), the actions are rich. HG is caring for Baby. When HM was between 2-3 years old, we were going through a VERY difficult time with her. We did some neurological testing (which showed basically nothing) but the neurologist felt that she was a high functioning child with autism. We then began working with some developmental pediatricians. They said that because HM had an imagination and played with things along those lines, she could not be autistic. Well, HG is definitely showing imaginative play here. The girls even took a picture of her putting Baby in her dolly backpack and putting her on her back but it's much darker than these and I don't think you would be able to make it out. She makes Baby walk sometimes too. It's rather cute and nice to see her nurturing Baby instead of tossing her across the room all of the time. Yes, HG does exhibit some autistic looking behaviors, but I truly think they are more institutional behaviors, not autistic behaviors. HM showed some of these behaviors too and they are now all gone. We can only hope and pray that they will disappear for HG too.
