No Show--Updated

HG´s mom, M, did not show up for the DNA appointment. It took me one month to get this darned thing scheduled and nada. Needless to say, I am angered to the point that I could vomit.

Several of you have asked if I knew what happened this morning. I do know. According to the contact, there has been a lot of rain in the area where M lives. The river there ran over it's bank due to the rain and so M was unable to make it out of her town/area. What hacks me off about this all is that the contact did not call and tell us. We called her to see where they were and that's when she said they didn't come. The contact talked to my friend, HA, and my attorney, DG, on Wednesday night and NOTHING was said about the rain or possibility of not being able to help M to come in. This is potentially a very costly move for us. Not only did I have to pay transportation into the City today for nothing, but I will likely have to fly back down for the rescheduled DNA testing. The new procedures require the person with the guardianship to be present at the DNA appointment. That would be me. So, if I do have to come back down, this "decision" to not come today will likely cost us over $500. Lovely, huh?
