We're enjoying a lazy Saturday today. We need it as we are all still pooped from traveling and our day yesterday. We had pancakes for breakfast (yes, I cooked!) and the girls are outside our front door playing. They have made a new friend, Jesica, who is 4 years old. Jesica doesn't speak English so this will be good for the girls! :)
I thought I would share some photos of our home. It's nice, simple and yet clean. I couldn't ask for anything else unless I could pick up my home and bring here. :) So, here you go!
This is the outside of our building. There are 4 apartments in this one building--two on each side. Our front door is on the left hand side of this picture. It's a two story building with the kitchen/dining, living room, and 1/2 bath downstairs. Upstairs is the two bedrooms and full bathrooms. If I keep going up and down these steps like this, my legs will be strong! Our house is #10.
view of the dining area and the kitchen. Just about everything you could need/want is in the kitchen. If you are standing in front of the sink and look to your right, you will see the washer and dryer. Hey, Dad, how do you like that dryer vent? It goes up through the skylight in the laundry area. If it works, who cares!
Living room. The girls keep taking the cushions off of the sofa and so I just took them off and put them in the downstairs bedroom. That bedroom has just enough room for the twin bed and a small night stand.
Master bedroom which I will share with HG when she is permitted to join us. It also has this little office area too. If you look out the window to the right of the chair, you can see the playground area and the main driveway for the complex.
Full bathroom (upstairs) and the "linen closet" which is outside of the bathroom. We do have a 1/2 bath downstairs which I didn't photograph because it's quite tiny and the angle is bad for a photo.
No, there's no air conditioning here. During the day, I just open up the many, many windows. At night, it's not too bad. I've considered leaving my window open (you'd have to have a ladder to crawl into it), but the sun comes up at 5:30 a.m. here and I want to let that much light in. :) A ceiling fan would do the trick if there was one here.
That completes the tour of our new home. While it is nice, I hope that we aren't here super long. I'm ready to be home in TX!

Looks like yall have a cute little pad! I bet you are enjoying some weather that is not 100 degrees! :) Maybe you could buy a box fan?
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers!!!!
