No news today

The gal we needed to talk to today was in a meeting. :( So, no news today. We hope to have something tomorrow. Keep praying! I didn't have a lot of time yesterday to post (and I don't tonight either), but I'll try to explain in a nutshell what's supposed to be happening exactly. The Appeals Court came out with their "sentencia" at the end of last week. HG's file is in the PGN, the attorney general's office BUT it is in the Minor's Section, not the regular processing section currently. The gal we need to talk to stated last week that she was going to try and pull the file up to the the regular processing section. Our prayer request is that she is indeed able to do this and that it's already been done. This gal has stated that she will process the case as soon as she gets it and so we also pray that she will keep her word and do this. As you know from our previous experiences, it seems that many Guatemalans are worse than most about keeping their word. The lack of accountability is probably THE most frustrating thing about this whole process. So, please pray for this gal. I won't give her name, but God knows who she is.

J and I have continued to be humbled by those of you that have contributed to HG's adoption fund. We are grateful and we thank you. We look forward to sending you the "I'm Home!" announcement as soon as HG is indeed home with us.
