Lunes

Monday
So, I made the phone call again, as directed on Friday, to the PGN. Without any extra transfers, I actually got the person I wanted on the line. Shocking, right? I guess I should have known that this was a foretaste of what was to come. :) The conversation went like this:
Me: Hi, SP, this is KP.
SP: Oh yes, K. Well, I have news for you. Your file is gone.
Me (slightly panicked!): Oh?
SP: Yes, it's out of our section.
Me: Oh, it was transferred out of the Minor's Section and into regular processing?
SP: Yes, that's correct.
Just to make sure that I heard her correctly, I asked the same question 3 times in 3 different ways, making SURE that it was indeed transferred. IT WAS! Yippee!!!
What does this mean? Well, now it is in the regular processing section of the PGN/Attorney General's office. This is where they will issue the final approval of the case. Given that this is Semana Santa (Holy Week), I don't expect much to happen this week. Today the file is supposed to be assigned to a reviewer. Calls are being made to the "top dog" to see if we can get this thing OUT OF THERE asap. Oh, my heart. I do hope so. Once it is approved, we will still have to deal with the US Embassy on getting her a visa and getting her home, but we can deal with that. Let's just get the case approved first!
Yippee!!!
