30 Days

As most of you know, we have been going round and round with the US Embassy in Guatemala City. Well, actually it's USCIS Guatemala City where we are having the issues (and have since September 2009). This week, they stated that we had 30 days to comply with the paperwork that they have requested. While this sounds easy, it's not because the paperwork they have requested doesn't exist. I have emailed again, seeking clarification, which I hope comes on Monday. It will be a long weekend. If we do not get the paperwork in by the end of the time, USCIS will issue a NOID--Notice of Intent to Deny. What they would be denying is a visa to bring HG to the US. Please pray for us. I know I have asked you guys that SO many times over the last 2 1/2 years. We struggle pretty much everyday and are so grateful for the love, support, and friendship that you all provide. This is a scary time and until we get clarification, we are simply hanging. Please pray that there will be an understanding on their/USCIS part and that the pathway for us to present the information will be clear. It is possible that I will have to make an emergency trip down there this next week, but we hope we can get it taken care of without that--we really can't afford it. But, we can't and won't go down without a BIG, HUGE fight.
With a heavy heart,

  2. Same here. You've overcome an awful lot of hurdles already, and we're praying that you'll jump this one successfully as well.
