Farming

Happy New Year! Tomorrow, we get back down to business with the girls returning to school and all of the stuff that goes along with it. They are excited, I think, and it will be good for the structure if nothing else.
2010, we hope, WILL be the year that HG comes home. I heard a story in the last few days about 2 farmers. Both lived in the same area and were praying for rain. One of them prepared his fields so that when the rain came, his plantings would be ready to grow. The other one just prayed for the rain. When the rain came, the second farmer wasn't ready and didn't yield any crops. The first one was. So, we're trying to "be ready" so that when the rain comes, we will be ready. I'm not sure what "getting ready" fully entails, but this story has stuck in my mind for the last few days. Be ready and pray. So, I've been cleaning, getting ready. HG's bedroom is ready. I'm reorganizing the home office (anyone need/want a nice computer cabinet?) which will take me the rest of this week, I believe, with working and all. What else? I don't know. I'll keep praying, asking God to show me what else I need to do to be ready.
